Lima Fest Photos

The non-motorized trails that attracted this shot of mountain bike tourism to Lima, population 250, were closed in June 2010 due to the blanket ban on bicycles in Recommended Wilderness Areas in the 2009 Beaverhead-Deerlodge Forest Plan. It was heart breaking last summer to deny the request from Lima's businesses and residents to come back for another luceratve festival weekend because there isn't a worthy (LEGAL) mountain bike ride left in a 30 mile radius of town because it is being PROTECTED.  There is a better way to manage bicycles while still protecting our wildscapes!
